Iran Eyes 3mb/d Output from Refineries

TEHRAN June 25 (Shana)--The processing capacity of Iran’s refineries will reach 3mb/d by the Iranian calendar year 1397 to March 2018, a deputy head of National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC) said.

Shahrokh Khosravani said the company has chiefly engaged itself with expanding Iran’s refining capacity with an eye on exports.
He said completion of the Anahita Refinery in the western province of Kermanshah and Pars Refinery near the southern city of Shiraz are among the major plans the company pursues now.
Furthermore, the NIORDC is planning the construction of 8 mini-LNG refineries in various parts of the country, he added.
Khosravani also underlined the import of 10 ml/d of euro-4 gasoline on average by the end of the current year to March 2015, adding that the amount of the imports may vary due to the rate of consumption and seasonal considerations in the country.
He added that NIORDC is chiefly concerned with providing the needed capacities in Iranian refineries so that the country would need no gasoline imports and make exports from time to time instead.
