Iran Refineries Required to Meet Euro-4 Standards

TEHRAN June 23 (Shana)--Iranian refineries are required to meet euro-4 standards in all their products, a deputy head of National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC) said.

Shahrokh Khosravani said the Iranian refineries have to fulfill the obligations after Mach 2016.
“It means that by March 2017, all products [of refineries] have to be delivered on the market based on euro-4 standards,” he said.
Khosravani said recently boosting the quality of production in refineries has been pursued in recent years.
He said Imam Khomeini Refinery is producing 15 ml/d of euro-4 gasoline for distribution in big cities.
Khosravani also said that Iranian refineries process 1.85 mb/d of crude oil, adding that the country’s gasoline production now stands at 61 ml/d, up 5 ml/d from a year ago.
He said the long-awaited Persian Gulf Star Refinery would come on-stream next year with a 36-million-liter output.
