Iran Firm to Mass Produce I-8 Catalyst

TEHRAN May 28 (Shana)--An Iranian company has developed I-8 catalyst which is largely used in euro-4 gasoline production, the company’s managing-director said.

The  managing-director of Supplying Petrochemical Industries Part, Equipment and Chemical Engineering Company (SPEC) said the mass production of the catalyst is to start in two weeks.
He said the catalyst has been tested at Isfahan Petrochemical Plant.
The Isfahan refinery is now hoped to start producing clean fuel whose distribution has already started in big cities.
Iran could not purchase catalysts for clean fuel production due to international sanctions imposed on the country in recent years.
